Today we did not get up so early, we went out to Kata Tjata (The Olgas) . We did two short walks totalling about 4 miles. One to the Walpa gorge and the other up to the first viewing station on the valley of the winds walk. We were not permitted to go any further due to the temperature. It was +36 by 11:30 AM and that was air temperature not ground temperature as it was about 10 degree warmer on the gorge flood when we were walking.
This evening I will go on a sound of silence tour and dinner, Donna has taken it before and so did not want to go again. Should be different.
Tomorrow we will go to Alice Springs and spend a couple days there. Then it is back down again and over to Sydney. Have 16 days left in Australia and a lot more to see.
