Arrived in Alice Spring yesterday afternoon. Has been quite hot here. On the way from Uluru to the highway that comes up to Alice Springs we saw a bunch of wild camels. They were feeding along the roadside but went further into the bush when we stopped but was able to get some good photos.
This morning we went out the Ross highway to Ross River ( no water it has dried up) and visits a few of the gorges in the MacDonnell Range. The West and East MacDonnell range is on either side of Alice Springs and we were in the East MacDonnell this morning and walking into several of the gorges. This afternoon were went for a camel ride ( was a great experience ). The ride was delayed for an hour and one half due to the heat. Was +43C this afternoon , went for a walk down to the town from the hotel and although it was a bit warm , it is not that hot - Very dry heat. Getting used to the heat to will probably freeze when I get home.
Tomorrow will be going to the West MacDonnell range and to see some of the sites there.
