December 13, 2008 Leaving Sydney

December 13, 2008.

Got up early, had to get a cab and go to the Bartrak Camper van rentals to pick up our camper van. Arrived well before the appointment time- check the van over and was away by 11:30 AM . On our way to Newcastle - taking the Ocean Highway instead of the freeway. Get to see more of the country. Stopped in Beaumont to watch some kite boarders on the lake. finally arrived in Newcastle - got to the camp site and have a campsite just of the ocean. Had to stop along the way to get groceries and some laundry soap. This evening had supper and took out chairs down to the beach and watched the moon come up. Earlier had walked down to the breakwater and watched some people fish. Has been warm but the wind is blowing. Tomorrow we head inland.
