Up early and outside the hotel waiting at 7AM for the tour bus to go to the Blue Mountains. They are not that far out of Sidney - 150 KM . Just 24 people on the bus, a small group which is nice, you get to meet most of the people then.
The tour takes you first into the area where the Olympics were held. It is nice to know that all the facilities that were build are still being used and that the houses that were build for the athletes have all been sold and that they do not have any debt as a result of holding the games.
Then a stop for morning tea and off to the mountains. The blue color is caused by the Eucaliptus trees, they give off a oil that mixes with the heated air causing the mountians to appear blue.
Viewed the mountains and then the three sisters. Went down to the botton of the valley by cable car and then returned via cable car again which in at 51% and is the steepest in the world.
After lunch we viewed more of the mountains and drove to the ferry and took the Paramata river cat back to Circular Quay and the train back to the hotel.
Tomorrow go out to visit relatives.
